Telluride is enjoying the results of a powerful winter storm that dumped 37 inches of snow this past week-end. The ski area now boasts a 56-inch base. Come on out and enjoy!!!!
Telluride Ski Resort is building a new terrain park and superpipe which will not only introduce a whole new venue but will also offer night skiing. Located in the area formerly known as Competition Hill and the Nastar Course, just above Heritage Plaza, the park will have jumps and rails and the superpipe. Opening day for this new terrain should be around the 14th of January. It will be open 7 days a week and 4 nights.
This could be you and was the scene for about 8,800 skiers on December 31st which set a record for the Telluride Ski Area. Also reported were a record number of private jets (42) landing at the Telluride Regional Airport in one day.

Sam the Samurai is ready to make some tracks on one of the many groomed trails at Gray Head, he's just waiting for Steve to get off the phone.

Steve and Terry's first grandchild Chip Catsman, born 7/29/2009, was on hand to celebrate his first Gray Head Thanksgiving along with mom and dad, Gardy and Kathryn and Uncle Werner and Aunt Paje. Chip had such a good time that he cried when he got back home to Durango. Sounds like he may become a frequent visitor during the upcoming ski season!
